Film Sound

Though the audience doesn’t typically realize it, a lot goes into the sound production of any successful production. The difference between good sound and less than good sound is very noticeable and with additional amplification and enhancements of todays high tech, immersive theater sound systems, a bad sound track only sounds worse.

This course starts with basics and essentials and moves on through equipment, connections, filters, controllers, boards and recording devices.

Participants will work on set getting real world, hands on experience for all active aspects of set sound requirements, including boom mic operator, wiring connections, board operations, recording and more.

This course does not cover sound editing. This course is a pre-requisite for the PBIFI sound editing course.
